Housing at USML

In cooperation with the Conference Center of the University of St. Mary of the Lake, some housing is available for students enrolled in the Pontifical Faculty. Students studying for the priesthood and enrolled in their first year of the Licentiate program are housed in Mundelein Seminary and are expected to follow the procedures for house life established there.

Students who reside in the Conference Center belong to the University of St. Mary of the Lake, and they are free to develop their own community life as they wish. A chapel and a lounge with kitchen facilities are available for their use. While they are not members of Mundelein Seminary, they are welcomed guests at many events at the Seminary and the Center, and they are invited to share in the daily celebration of the Eucharist with the Seminary community.

The staff of the Conference Center’s Office of Guest Services attends to the material needs and general welfare of the students who reside in the Center. They serve as contact persons between resident students and Mundelein Seminary, the Business Office, the Facilities Office, and the Office of the Rector/President. The President of the Faculty attends to the academic needs of the students enrolled in the programs. The Rector/President of the University of St. Mary of the Lake oversees the harmonious cooperation of the Pontifical Faculty and the Seminary.
