The Rev. Martin Zielinski, Ph.D. Vice President for Ongoing Formation
The Rev. Martin Zielinski is a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago and currently serves as Vice President for Ongoing Formation of the University of Saint Mary of the Lake. In that capacity, he administers the various programs of professional and continuing education offered by USML. He served as a full time parish priest at Saint Margaret Mary Parish before being appointed to the faculty of Mundelein Seminary where he is currently associate professor of church history. Father Zielinski served two terms as Dean of the Graduate School of Theology. As a theological educator, Father Zielinski has been active with the Midwest Association of Theological Schools, the American Catholic Historical Association and the U.S. Catholic Historical Society. He holds a doctorate in church history from the Catholic University of America.
Megan Deichl Associate Director of Ongoing Formation
Megan Deichl is the associate director of Ongoing Formation at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake. She previously worked on the Together in God's Service Program at in the Ministry Formation office of the University.
Elizabeth Nagel, S.S.D. Director of the Summer Scripture Seminar
Dr. Elizabeth Nagel is professor in the Department of Biblical Exegesis and the director of the Summer Scripture Seminar. Dr. Nagel previously served as Full Professor of Sacred Scripture at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary at Overbrook in Wynnewood, PA. She is the author of Be A Blessing: A Spring of Refreshment on the Road of Daily Life. Dr. Nagel teaches in the Mundelein Seminary Pilgrimage Program in the Holy Land. She lived in Israel for one year and was a Scripture Resource person for numerous study tours. Dr. Nagel holds a M.A. in theology with a major in Scripture from Mount Angel Seminary and the licentiate and doctorate in sacred scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome |
