MISSION

The University of Saint Mary of the Lake / Mundelein Seminary provides ongoing formation and continuing education for its alumni, priests and all who collaborate with them in ministry.  This mission embraces bishops, priests, deacons, lay ecclesial ministers, Catholic school teachers and many other staff who can benefit from the resources of the seminary for their ongoing training and development.  USML also collaborates with the agencies of the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center and other institutes of study to bring a high level of continuing formation offerings to our constituents.

VISION

USML Ongoing Formation is principally concerned with training and development in those areas deemed critical for ministers in the Archdiocese of Chicago.  Our approach seeks to be practice based, theologically sound and outcomes oriented.
