Fundamentals of Catholic Teaching

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION

 

The Fundamentals of Catholic Teaching is a certificate program serving the professional and continuing education needs of teachers and catechists in the archdiocesan school system.  The course consists of four modules covering the basic areas of Catholic Teaching foundational to religious education work.

Each module of the course stands alone, and may be taken in any order.  When a teacher or catechist has completed all four modules, she or he will be awarded a certificate for the course.  This certificate may be used in partial fulfillment of the requirements of the Office of Catholic Schools and the Office for Catechesis for their certifications.

This course is validated by the University of Saint Mary of the Lake as professional and continuing education.  As such, this course carries no academic credit.  Upon completion of the module, a certificate of attendance and continuing education units (ceu) are awarded.
