Pride of Place: Gregorian Chant in the Liturgy

"The Church acknowledges Gregorian chant as specially suited to the Roman liturgy...it should be given pride of place in liturgical services."-Sacrosanctum Concilium, 116.

"Pride of Place: Gregorian Chant in the Liturgy" will address the growing renewal of sung liturgy  in parishes across the nation. Suitable for priests and deacons, musicians, music directors, teachers, parish liturgy directors, diocesan worship office personnel and all of those interested in liturgical music, the conference will place the role of chant in post-Conciliar liturgy in light of the call of the Second Vatican Council that Gregorian chant be given "pride of place."
