Aspiancy is one-year of formal discernment prior to acceptance into candidacy. Though the foundation is formational, there are significant academic introductions during the Aspirancy Path. · Review of Catholicism · Theology study skills (Reading, writing, lecture note-taking, etc.) · Evangelization & Catechesis · Theological Reflection I · Introduction to Christology, Ecclesiology, Liturgy, Scripture, Church History, and Moral Theology
Here is a glimpse of some of the required academic and formational activities each year during candidacy. All aspirants and candidates meet regularly in a Theological Reflection Group and attend an annual retreat.
