Text Box: A certificate awarded for the completion of an integrated three-year program of formation for pastoral associates and directors of religious education.  Must be completed concurrently with a master’s degree from a participating school of theology.

Certificate of Studies—Lay Ecclesial Ministry

A certificate awarded for the completion of an integrated four year program of formation for deacons.  The courses are offered at the upper undergraduate/lower graduate level and fulfill all the requirements of the Directory on Deacon Formation .

Certificate of Studies — Diaconal Ministry

Text Box: Text Box: A certificate awarded for the completion of a two year program of formation for principals and coordinators of religious education .  The courses are offered at the upper undergraduate/lower graduate level.

Certificate of Studies—Catechetical Leadership

Text Box: A certificate awarded for the completion of an integrated two year program of formation for lay ministers.  The courses are offered at the upper undergraduate/lower graduate level.

Certificate of Studies—Lay Leadership

A 48 contact hour program consisting of four modules of study in Creed, Revelation, Morals, Liturgy and a retreat.  Required of all Catholic School teachers and catechists for certification.

Summer Scripture Seminar

 

A week-long annual seminar on a major book of the Bible or a scriptural theme.  Mundelein offers this nationally famous ongoing formation program for priests, deacons, religious educators and anyone who loves the Scriptures.

Sabbatical Program

A three-month residential program for priests and other ministers.  Participants live on campus with the non-seminarian graduate students, attend upper division classes in the various departments of the Graduate School of Theology and share in the daily spiritual and community life of Mundelein Seminary.                   More details
